As the leaves turn and the grapes are harvested Villars/Gryon changes its character. In autumn the colours are simply spectacular and lovely weather can be experienced until late October to continue the summer activities.
From November until April the snow comes and the whole area transforms into a bustling International Ski Resort with an emphasis on Families (Kids ski free up to 9 y.o.) Unlike many Ski Resorts Villars/Gryon isn’t just about skiing. There are mountain walks, dog Sleigh rides, cross country ski trails and at all time ‘THAT VIEW’!

Ideas for the Winter Season
SKIING
Villars is a stylish family resort which combines a variety of ski runs from Glaciers to woodland tracks. There are some charming full service mountain restaurants and at all times you can enjoy being in one of the prettiest winter wonderlands in Europe. There is a 7 mile toboggan run at Diablerets or how about an evening Snowmobile Taxi up to the refuge at Solalex. Enjoy the unique atmosphere for Dinner and sledge or walk back through the forest under the moon an stars!
HOT SPRINGS
A trip to the outdoor thermal springs at Lavey Les Bains (10 Miles) is a must do, try it one evening after skiing.
AQUA PARC
We have the benefit of a Fabulous Centre Parcs style indoor water parc ( just 30mins away) which is ideal for the whole Family.
SKI SAFARI
Villars is exceptionally well connected and you can easily visit some of Europes most famous Ski Resorts for those who prefer variety:
- Verbier is 45 mins
- Portes Du Soliel is 40 mins
- Gstaad is 1 hour
- Chamonix is 1.5 hours
- Zermatt is 2 hours
